I took an out of the USA trip earlier in the month that involved gearing up myself and two others (son and SIL) with every conceivable spey tip, leader, and T-? variation due to unknown water conditions.  While I had been to the destination multiple times before the lack of appropriate equipment options once there made it especially hard to plan.

I just want to say publicly that Mike and Dale did everything anyone could expect to assist me in preparing for this trip.  In fact, they did far more than anyone has a right to expect in terms of customer service.  But based on my past dealings there I have come to the conclusion that over the top help for any fly fishing needs is in fact the norm .  Sort of spoils you.

I suspect anyone who has dealt with the Red Shed may know all of this by now, but felt like it should be stated again for the information of others who have not used the Red Shed as their go to spey shop.  Sorry if that comes across as a gush, but truth is they deserve it.

Wonderful to hear, I think that many traders in the tackle business see it merely as a retail opportunity; but a few, notably those fanatics who when they aren't in the shop are on the river, know it is a "calling".

As I live in the UK I have only bought one line from the "Red shed", but I can say that the service ( in terms of info via e-mail before committing, as well as the p&p / turn around times), was really very good indeed.

We need more committed/ involved independants, & less marketing driven big business - where the only aim is the short term bottom line.

Well done!

Regards, Jon.

Well stated, Joe. Very true.
(Bruce is right, a 'like' button would be nice).

Cheers!

Thumbs up!

The best customer service this side of the Mississippi (and maybe the other side too. [smile]). With lightning turn around speed every time I've ordered. Never been to the 'shed' but plan on stopping by this spring. Just to look around not buy. Ya right...
