It's a sweet rod, I just cast the one I bought over the winter for the first time yesterday.  It carries a wide range of lines from 380 gr. to 560 gr.    The only problem that I find with it is that it doesn't fit into my Truck Vault😉.   Jere

Yes it is a very sweet rod. My back up. But tell me about this rod vault. Something you built, or bought? Does it bolt to the bed of the truck? Got any pics or a website? I'm always worried about a break in.

Thanks.

Steve,  the truck vault is a commercially available storage system out of Washington State I believe.  They are constructed in different configurations and fabricated specifically for your model vehicle.  Just Google Truck Vault and I think it will come up.  Jere

If it were in the budget I would. Had the 1308. I'm curious about the handle on this rod. Never seen the front part like this one, they usually taper down to the blank. Anybody know this history on this?

The rod has been sold to a fellow in Ontario, Canada that's a fan of this vintage of 3 piece T&Ts.
He has the T&T 1107-3 as well, another classic.

The 1307-3 is a tremendous stick and was a back up  to another 1307-3 for me that just didn't see much time on the water. Yes, they are heavier and older and less convenient to travel with than today's 4 piece double handers, but just as sweet. I haven't a chance to try the 1308-4.

Also, the T&Ts seem to have less of a following on the West Coast than other rods, so they generate some interest when out at the casting pond or streamside. That kind of love is always nice.
