This is my version of AJ's Purple Pete, tied as a scandi tube. The Scandi Purple Pete? Thats a mouth full...

Like AJ, I tried to keep it sparse, black with hints of purple.

Thanks for looking,

Serge

Hi Gary, AJ's original post from January, "The Purple Pete", has a recipe for his pattern. In case you are wondering about the tube version, I have posted it below:

Tube: aluminum Shumakov long range hybrid tube with 1.8mm inner liner tube

Body: purple ice dub, brushed out

Wing: Black arctic fox, short; three strands of purple angel hair doubled over; second arctic fox wing, longer than first; three strands of purple angel hair doubled over; third arctic fox wing, longest.

JC eyes

Front hackle: two turns of purple soft hackle (chickabou), one side stripped, followed by two more turns of black soft hackle feather, one side stripped as well.

Small black cone to finish.

Serge,
You're on a roll with these tube flies!  This one is excellent and I'm envious.  Good luck!
