Has anyone out there used a product named Tear-Aid to patch a breathable wader?

If so, how well did it work? How long did it last?

Any feedback welcome. Thanks.

Hey Larry

I don't know about Tear-Aid specifically, but I do have a bunch of the Simms patches that I've used in the past to fix some tears and they held up longer than the rest of the actual wader did.
If it's not an overly large tear you have, cuase these patches are roughly 4x2 let me know and I'll send them out for you.

Thanks, Jim, for the offer. It is kind of you, but I don't need anything right now.

I don't currently have any tears or punctures, just thinking about future possibilities.

Hey Larry,
never tried it on waders, but I've used it on a tent with mixed results. For it to work worth a damn, the fabric has to be clean and dry, the "Sticks to wet surfaces" label notwithstanding. As with emergency tent repair I imagine that would be the sticking point (sorry, bad pun...) with emergency wader repair. Once we had a couple days of dry weather and got the tent dry, the stuff worked pretty well.
