Anyone heading to the Sandy Clave?

Hope to make it this year - first time since the first two. Some of the TU Wild Steelhead Initiative Group will be there and John McMillan I think is giving a talk on Friday evening.   I am the CA TU representative for WSI and will help at the booth assuming I can get there. You owe it to yourself to listen to John - absolutely fascinating guy who has a passion for protecting wild steelhead!!

Just got through major surgery so am still in recovery so likely no fishing Cry

Well dang Rick.  I can't make it this year, first time in 5 or 6 years.  Would love to catch up on your retirement activities - looks like you're on a greater fishing plan than myself, except for the surgery!  Hope that's behind you now.  Any of the other gang coming? (Don, ...)

I will be there.  I usually hang out with the Hardy Rep, Garry Sandstrom and Dick Sagara with Temple Fork Outfitters.  Their tables are almost always under the shelter.

Hey Paul - sorry to miss you - both Don and Bruce are tied up but another friend of mine will be joining me. Oxbow was full so have my trailer at the Sandy River Front Trailer Park - around 10 miles away

Looking forward to seeing the rest of you
Best,
Rick

John M's talk this evening was just outstanding!!! He has a great way of explaining the science to the lay person, even if not a fisherman that is highly entertaining - spoken to him on a number of occasions and never get tired of listening to him about steelhead!!!

Great to see Poppy and cast a bamboo rod he made - who knew he had this hidden talent!!!!
