Thanks for posting this. It is compelling and it should drive change. I doubt it will but it should!

Everyone, not just fishermen, should watch, and more importantly, LISTEN to this. We're running out of time.
Thank you for posting it, Rolf.

Best wishes,
Bob

Yes, Bob this issue is important for all people that value the fishing resource, people that value the lifestyle and history of the Pacific Northwest, and for all citizens that value state and federal government accountability and fiscal responsibility. Even with a new president that might not be as environmentally friendly this issue could be successfully advanced if we focus on the economic advantages of dam removal. I am still so sad to hear recently that the Canadian government is planning to go through with the Skeena river gas pipeline project and the gas export facility at the estuary of the Skeena river - we all have to work harder to keep viable stocks of pacific salmon and in particular wild steelhead from becoming essentially extinct in our life time. I'm gong to call the numbers listed at damsense.com and work to make my family and friends aware of this problem, but as a resident of Wyoming, my voice is less important than the voters in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon, so people in these states please step up to the plate and swing for the fences!

So, I went to the damsense.org website and used their links to send messages to The President, Governor of Idaho, and The Army Corps of Engineers. May not make a difference, but it did feel kind of empowering, and made me feel like I've done something...

Steven,

Thanks for checking out the damsense.org site and sending letters out.  I hope more readers will do the same if they aren't already.  We need as many voices as possible in this matter.
