I fish this rod with a Windcutter 7-8-9 line.   Occasionally I still have to strip a bunch of line and the head started to feel a little short  (54' ?).     I had a RIO Powerspey 8/9 (640 grain) line sitting in a box for years.  I thought it was match for my rod.

It casts well, but I need to have about 3-4' of its head in my guides.  This tells me I probably needed the 7/8 version. The line has a 61' head

There is the newer In-Touch Long Head Spey that I do not have.  Seems to be similar to the Powerspey in length.  I am considering buying some day the 7/8 weight.  Would this be a good line or is there anything else that has a longer head and casts nicely on the 7141-4 Euro style rod?

Still looking for the power to turn a 15' leader with a weighted #1 fly at the end.

You might look at the Ballistic Vector XL. The 7/8 is a 6o foot head. (That is the true head length...) If you can turn over your rig with a Windcutter, the Vector will knock your socks off.

There is also the Gaelforce Touchdown-70, but I've never fished it, and I don't know how "punchy" it is compared to the vector. The Gaelforce equalizer-63 is punchier than the Vector, but realistically it's only about 56 feet.

Ya, the intouch long heads are great lines, I fish one on my Meiser 1507S, I use the 7/8 64' head that is 620 gr.  It feels kind of light, but it flies with a tight loop cutting through the wind and has a great kind of delayed but very positive turnover.  It seems to cast and turnover similar to the notable CND GPS lines. It even turns over sinking poly leaders very well.  The Ballistics are great lines as well, I haven't tried the XL yet, but the Vector is also really nice, but the 8/9 570 55' head was a little heavy on that rod.

Thanks for all suggestions!  I like the intouch is 64'.  It is also available in the store in town.
Just have to see if I want to put it on right away or wait till fall.  It is almost trout season here. In the summer I go with a single hander for steelhead and salmon, but I still make the same casts as with the spey rod.
