Any chance we could get a sticky with different line specs.  It's getting harder to find the info on the older lines and it would be nice to have a quick reference to the difference between the old delta's, the new deltas, and the new new delta 2s for example.  It is also getting harder to find the old rio rod line recs that had some of the older discontinued lines.
unfortunately I do not have this info but am hoping some of you do and are willing to post it.

No small undertaking but I'll see what I can do over the next few days.

Here are two places that all the current line specs can be found:

http://yhst-9494565811469.stores.yahoo.net/speylines.html

http://www.flyfishusa.com/lines/splines_home.html

The Rio rod/line chart for older rods can be found here:  http://www.rioproducts.com/skin/summit/pdf/Old%20Spey%20Line%20Recommendations%202013.pdf

Unfortunately, Mark, that is not what Russell is asking for.

He wants actual individual line specifications (grain weight, taper specs, belly length, front taper length, back taper length, total line length, etc.). The chart you reference is a rod to line matchup, with basically just grain weight of the lines.

You're right Larry, I didn't read the initial post very closely.  Those will be a little harder to find I would think.

Pulled from a couple other pages.  I have a few bookmarked and will add them to this single post.  I use these to try to determine what I have and what I might need...and then rely on Poppy to keep me in line.  These aren't exactly what is being requested, but provide a little more info than recommended rod to line.  The Grand Speys look to be the Gen1 lines.

Thanks Brian!

I had the above website/forum bookmarked too, but when I try to access it now, I get a "404 Not Found" error message. I referred back to it often, but now come here to get that info. Not sure if the other site is no longer alive, or if that thread is just dead. Either way, that old info is too valuable to lose.

Yes, all the old links are no longer linked to anything.  That is what led me to this post.  Thanks to anyone that puts any time into posting specs here and it is info that is quickly disappearing for the older lines.
