Been a while since I've seen this so late in the year.

On the positive side, I'm cautiously optimistic that we may have a decent water-year for trout and outgoing steelhead smolts. Fingers crossed!

It's near the Idaho/Montana border [wink] If I had to guess, I'd say between 3,500' and 4,000' MSL. I'm interpolating from contour lines on my topo map.

Avalanches are pretty routine on that stretch of road, and snow can hang on until early July sometimes. But it's been twenty-odd years since I couldn't actually get through there.
