The competition in all divisions should be stiffer than ever this year. Center pond played to a packed house on Saturday, and I am sure it will be much of the same on Sunday. Travis was down to cast for the weekend, along with members of the newly formed "Red Shed Team". There was a bit of green showing its colors there, also. The Seniors should not be left out either. They are taking it very serious. Lots of practice on all levels! Now to post a few pictures of the fun.

Another fantastic day in San Francisco brings out the competitors !!!! Simon and his team had a busy day. The "Seniors" seemed to be warming themselves in the afternoon sunshine. Frank, Glen and Bert are seriously warming up to the competition. Don't let appearances fool you.

Doesn't look like there will be much practice going on in Area 51. Molly sent me a picture of the newspaper headlines from Ireland. California could use a bit of the weather they are receiving. Looks like Mother Nature is a little pissed at mankind based on what is happening throughout the world weather wise. Hope they get a chance to  practice before arriving in San Francisco.

An image to go with the newspaper headline. It brings the situation home, and gives you a perspective based on what is really important.. My sympathy to those effected by the storms. Their lives will be changed forever.

A sobering pic. Water is the source of life but to much in the wrong place at the wrong time causes death and destruction.

Although we've come close we have never been flooded and it is something I hope I never have to experience.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB

Another day of not having to worry about rain at GGACC, just sunscreen, wind and friends. Got a picture of Frank relaxing after lunch at KOME. What a Japanese / Chinese buffet it was - all you can eat everything - sushi, roast duck, prawns - you name it. The best part was Armando showing up after lunch.

Speaking of getting serious ---- picking up a spey rod, let alone attending Spey O Rama can be a life changing experience. You never know what will happen!  I don't know if Spey O Rama was the first time their paths crossed, but I just want to Congratulate Whitney and Mike on their marriage Valentines Day!!!!

What an incredible day in San Francisco! It was a great day for casting at the ponds. There was only the slightest of a breeze along with 70 degree temps. And lets not forget the usual cast of characters and a special guest. The food and coffee was great also!!!! Figured it was a good day to stay clear of any Irish Pubs.

Another busy Saturday at the Ponds! Free single handed lesson Saturday had the spey casters down in the corner waiting for the lessons to be over. Time to relax and play a little. Armando was at his best! Bert was waiting, and Victor was helping keep track of the rods while Whitney was reviewing, and Glen was giving a lesson in tight loops.. Beautiful warm day, a dog day afternoon!!!!
